Change in Semester System at Seoul Campus – Academic Year 2026

Sungkyun Language Institute at the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus (Seoul ) will change its semester system from the current 6-semester-per-year schedule to a 4-semester-per-year schedule beginning in the 2026 academic year.
※ Note: The Natural Sciences Campus (Suwon) has already adopted the 4-semester system starting in 2025.

1. Why was the semester system changed?
Answer: The current six-semester system was changed to a four-semester system to improve the quality of classes and educational efficiency. It also allows for more stable class operation, taking into account seasonal and public holidays.
2. How long will a semester be under the four-semester system?
Answer: Each semester will last approximately 10 weeks (50 days). For detailed schedules for each semester, please refer to the [2026 Semester Schedule].
5. Will tuition change with the change to the four-semester system?
Answer: Tuition has increased to 1.78 million won per semester for the Seoul Campus (Humanities and Social Sciences Campus) and 1.5 million won per semester for the Suwon Campus (Natural Sciences Campus).
6. Does the semester schedule differ at each campus?
Answer: Beginning in the 2026 academic year, both Seoul and Suwon will adopt the same four-semester system and operate under the same semester schedule.
