You may plan to travel out of Korea and come back shortly. Including D-4 holders, all registered aliens must follow the new policy below, effective from June 1, 2020.
Re-Entry Permit (for registered aliens)
Go to the Immigration Office before your departure and get a Re-Entry Permit for your successful return. (Including immigration office branches at airports)
Missing this permit will cause your alien registration to be cancelled.
(Exception: A-1, A-2, A-3, F-4 holders)
COVID-19 Test Result
Get a COVID-19 test within 48 hours of your departure and submit it at the time of your re-entry. Your test result must meet the following:
- Written in English or Korean
- Conducted by authorized, local medical institute
- Include the date of examination, and the presence or absence of fever, cough, chills, headache, difficulty of breathing, muscle pain and pulmonary symptoms, and must be signed by the medical service provider.
Failure to undergo the examination or present a writen diagnosis, and
forging/falsifying documents or presenting false documents wil result in denial of boarding and entry, and other disadvantages.
